West Branch Riverbank Cleanup is April 27

Join a 2019 Great American Cleanup event by joining a rivertrail event this Saturday, April 27. 

The West Branch Susquehanna Riverbank litter cleanup  will be held in Wayne Township, Clinton County, on April 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration is requested by 12 noon, April 26.

Work alongside CleanScapes and Lock Haven University students as they collect litter and tires from a 2-mile wooded West Branch Susquehanna Rivertrail floodplain.

Volunteer teams will hike along the riverbank and collect litter and tires from the riverbank. Closed toed shoes are mandatory and waterproof boots are recommended (no bare feet or sandals). In addition, denim or canvas material pants should be worn (woody debris can be sharp – no shorts or leggings). An extra jacket, hat, sunscreen, socks and shoes are highly recommended. Shoes will get muddy.

Insect spray repellent, gloves, trash bags, safety vests and lunch provided to all registered participants.

A picnic-style luncheon will be served to volunteers at 1 PM.
