Join CleanScapes volunteers and staff members from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) for the Mount Riansares Vista Cleanup on April 30, 2023.
- When: April 30, Sunday from 9:30 AM-12:30 PM
- Where: Meet at the summit of Riansares Mountain, Bald Eagle State Forest (Lamar Township, Clinton County)
- Directions: From Rt. 64 in Mill Hall. Get on Long Run Road, drive through Salona & stay on Long Run Road in Lamar Twp. Just after entering Greene Twp., turn right/south onto Riansares Rd. Stay on Riansares Rd., drive under I-80 overpass. Drive to the top of the Riansares mountain, Bald Eagle State Forest. (Follow orange flagging tape.) Park near the communications tower. Former fire tower house 911 address 1360 Riansares Rd. Arrive by 9:15 am, thank you!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Litter collection teams: Join PA DCNR as we remove man-made litter from the vegetated hillside vista. Volunteers will bag items from the hillside, then DCNR heavy equipment operators will raise filled Super Sacs up & over the bank. The hillside area is grass mixed with cobbles and woody debris. Long pants & closed toes shoes are mandatory. An extra jacket, hat, shoes & socks are highly recommended. Youth between the ages of 12-17 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Insect repellent provided by CleanScapes.

- DEADLINE EXTENDED!! Pre-registration requested by 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 29.
- Registered volunteers will be provided donuts, gloves, trash bags, safety vests & lunch!
