CleanScapes will hold its first official cleanup since the pandemic began on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 12 PM. Volunteers are invited to participate.
The cleanup event will focus on the Fishing Creek streambank and roadside along Route 64 in Mill Hall Borough. The site was last cleaned up by CleanScapes volunteers in March 2019 (pictured above).
Pre-registration is requested by Thursday March 24 by 12 noon as volunteers will be provided donuts, gloves, trash bags, safety vests and refreshments.

Volunteer Options
Litter collection team: Remove man-made litter from the vegetated streambanks of Fishing Creek, or pick up litter along Routes 64 & 150. All teams will be lead by a Safety Captain. Volunteers will bag plastic & metal bottles & paper products. The streambank area is muddy, terrain is moderately flat to challenging to navigate & the woody debris can be sharp. Long pants & closed toes shoes are mandatory (no bare feet, shorts or sandals). An extra jacket, hat, shoes & socks are highly recommended. Youth between the ages of 12-17 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Truck Transport Driver: Load filled trash bags into your truck, drive to the nearby roll-off dumpster & place bags into the container. (Truck bed may get muddy or scratched.)
Photographer: Capture the volunteers in action & email your favorite picks to CleanScapes. Selected works will be shared on social platforms & print mediums.
Directions
Volunteers will meet at the public pool parking lot/pavilion area in the Borough of Mill Hall. From Lock Haven drive west on Rt. 150 toward the Borough of Mill Hall. Stay on Rt. 150 and drive past the Rt. 220 on-ramp adjacent to Sheetz gas station/Walmart. Travel through that traffic light and take the next left turn towards “Curt’s Smokin Ribs” restaurant (Pennsylvania Ave.) Travel less than a mile and turn at the blue & white sign designating the location of the Mill Hall Pool (Second St.). The pool parking area is at the end of Second Street.
