The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority (CCSWA) at the Wayne Township Landfill will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Friday and Saturday, August 23 and 24, 2019.
The event will take place on Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CCSWA’s Recycling Center, 15 Landfill Lane, McElhattan.
Examples of accepted items include pool chlorine, motor oil, rechargeable batteries, brake fluid, aerosol cans, mercury and mercury-containing devices, fluorescent bulbs, cleaners, pesticides and herbicides, paint remover, antifreeze and vehicle batteries, just to name a few.
All Clinton County homeowners or residential tenants are eligible to bring their household hazardous waste to the collection site. Due to regulatory requirements, business, commercial and industrial entities are not eligible.
